I am a PACFA & UKCP registered Gestalt psychotherapist, offering open-ended and short-term therapy for individuals and couples face to face in Melbourne and internationally online.

Understanding the therapeutic situation as embodied, relational and contextual, I work with a wide range of issues including
grief and loss, anxiety, low mood, anger, cross-cultural experiences, parenting, trauma, sexuality, relationships, life transitions, identity, communication, personal agency, and creativity,
as encountered in the past, present and future.

Starting this process can feel daunting.
I warmly welcome clients of all cultural and class backgrounds, ages (18+), and sexuality, relationship and affectional orientations, to contact me for a free initial phone consultation.

About psychotherapy:

Psychotherapy is a wonderful opportunity to develop relational self-awareness and explore your experiences, as well as a process to engage with difficulty and distress in your life.

I hold a supportive and thoughtful space to explore what may be difficult to talk about, with empathy, sensitivity, curiosity and insight. By helping you to understand and illuminate your feelings and experiences, we can begin a process of discovery and awareness, expanding the possibilities of how you live, relate, and make choices

I also facilitate groups in personal development, reflective practice and group therapy. Please contact me if you would like to know more.

About Gestalt:

Gestalt methodology offers a process-based, holistic, embodied perspective, distinct from mainstream, normative models of mental health. Sessions are an opportunity to co-construct a trusting, respectful, attuned relationship, forming a here-and-now basis to explore the issues that bring you to therapy, as well as paying attention to the dialogue between us as reflecting the ways we relate to the wider world.

My background in psychology and community mental health underpins my ability to ensure that Gestalt psychotherapy is a suitable approach for you, and I will encourage seeking different types of support if I believe this is required.

About me:

My working life began in classical music. A career change studying Psychology at the University of Melbourne led to a rigorous 5 year training in London for individual and group Gestalt Psychotherapy, followed by specialist training in Melbourne to work with couples and relationships. Having established a successful London-based private practice, I am now offering sessions internationally online as well as in person in Melbourne, Australia.

I hold professional registration in both Australia (PACFA) and the UK (UKCP). This ensures the high standards of my training and qualifications including undergoing my own personal therapy, and means I have agreed to follow ethical codes and to undertake ongoing training and supervision.

Qualifications & training:

• Specialist Course in Integrative Couple Therapy - Relationships Australia

• Practitioner Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy: Individual & Group - Gestalt Centre, London

• Master of Arts in Gestalt Psychotherapy - London Metropolitan University

  • Online sessions are conducted on Google Meet. I will send you calendar invites with meeting links in advance.

Please ensure you are in a private, comfortable place with nobody else in the room, and turn off notifications on your device. Check that your space is well lit and quiet so that I can see and hear you clearly.

I recommend allowing an extra five minutes before the session to set up and settle into the therapy space.

  • Your identity and the content of our sessions are confidential, with the following exceptions:
    • client consent (e.g. request to write a letter to a GP)
    • where there are risks to the safety of the client or a third party (if the circumstances are serious enough to justify disclosure)
    • when required by the law.

I also discuss my work in clinical supervision, however, all client identities are anonymised for this purpose.
